OptimumBank shareholders approve new capital, reverse split

OptimumBank Holdings shareholders approved measures to raise capital for the bank and do a reverse stock split to remain on the NASDAQ Capital Market.
The Fort Lauderdale-based company (NASDAQ: OPHC) got shareholder approval for its plan to have Chairman Moishe Gubin to invest $2.2 million into the bank buy purchasing new stock at 30 cents per share. The money is needed to restore the $136 million-asset bank to “well capitalized” status following repeated losses.

Occupancy at Ella passes halfway mark five months after opening

Ella, the first building at the Encore development in downtown Tampa, is slightly more than half occupied five months after its December grand opening.
Residents have moved into 91 of the 160-unit seniors apartment, said Elizabeth Kirschner, compliance director and area property manager for Atlanta-based JMG Realty.
Another 20 units will be filled by the end of the month, she said, and six more move-ins are schedule for June.
