Workers' comp insurance rates expected to decline

8/22/2014 - Workers’ compensation insurance rates could decline in 2015 for the first time in four years. The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) proposed a 2.5 percent decline in workers’ comp rates effective Jan. 1. The rate filing said there have been fewer losses and claims. The decrease would vary by industry: 3.2 percent for manufacturing, 2.9 percent for contracting, 2.6 percent for goods and services, 2.4 percent for miscellaneous and 1.3 percent for office and clerical. 8/22/2014 - The Florida Department of Transportation is looking at an idea that would make a proposed hotel in downtown Orlando extremely transit-oriented.
